Eragon.Saphira, an author of this blog and dedicated member, was the winner of this month's contest. She helped judge last month's Summer Contest, and she entered and won this one. It was very close between her and Arin3, who got second by a mere 4 points. Eragon.Saphira, in the 3 contests she's entered, managed to get in the top 3 of each one. She now has a record for highest number of points (88.5/100) in a contest, and she also is our only entrant without a creation to get a higher score than someone with one (and she's done it twice!). Without a doubt, her creative skills are beyond ordinary.

"I didn't pick Eragon.Saphira because she is nice and an author of our blog. Simply, I found that her entry was perfect. Her page consisted of sticker modules. All the sticker modules had the same background- the Mars sticker background. This is a background everyone gets when they join MLN, so anyone could make something like Eragon.Saphira, yet they didn't think of it. That, of course, is not the only thing on the sticker modules. On the first three rows, she used a blue star and the Bio code Skrallshield sticker to make a big firework which exploded in the first row in the middle and moved to the left and the right. On the fourth and last row, she has used the "vroom" caption sticker to add some text, namely 'July 4'. In the end, I gave her a 10 out of 10 for overall look. Let's move to the second factor of judging- the avatar. She has used the 3 colors that are used to celebrate Independence Day (red, white and blue). I also gave her 10 for her avatar, because all the colors were used to celebrate this day. With a smile, I gave her another 10 points for colors, the third factor of our judging system. I was very surprised with the entry, and that was the reason I've gave her the best points. Because she didn't have a creation, we couldn't give the points for the creation. Fourth of July Contest

Our next contest celebrates the Fourth of July. There are huge click rewards, and only 14 days (June 21-July 4, 2010) to submit your entry. So hurry up and go here to read about it and enter!

Actually I don't know what's happening but this is something very strange. Yesterday, the counter ended and immediately started counting up. Today I searched for the link in the source code and found this: http://cache.lego.com/flash/universe/HelpTheMinifigs/countdownTimer_en.swf.

When viewing that link (I copied and pasted the link in the browser), I see the flash file above. This counter ends on August 16, 2010 at 23 hours 59 minutes and 59 seconds. Isn't August 16 near the date that LU will be available in the stores?

MLN Blog Points Update

A lot of you have noticed little glitches here and there in our MLN Blog Point program. Well, after a few late-night hours of reprogramming, I believe most of the majors ones have been fixed, and the system as a whole has improved. A glitch some of you might have suspected was the one that allowed your entry to count as long as you weren't the most recent submitter, which means you didn't truly have to wait 8 hours, just until somebody else entered, before entering again. I would only dare tell you this because, as of today, that glitch is fixed (and all entries that weren't valid were deleted). Taking advantage of some newly-formed Spreadsheet skills, I managed to fix this as well as to add a clock showing how much time was needed before each person could enter again. You can see it here, or else here, which is the static web page that you can go to if you don't want to use the sidebar.

Hope this works for everyone, and I hope there's no more major glitches.

Arbor Day Contest

Arbor day is a day to give back to the environment by planting and caring for trees. We have created a contest on our blog in honor of Arbor day. Your job is quite simple- Just decorate your page and dress up your avatar in whatever way it reminds you of Arbor day. Update by Sim533: I also have to say something about Easter and, of course, about the Easter eggs we hid. First, I'll talk about the Easter eggs. Maybe some of you noticed that I took them down already and delivered the points in the MLN blogger points spreadsheet. First of all, where were the eggs hidden?
Easter egg 1 was found on the side bar of the MLN blog.
Easter egg 2 was found on the side bar of the MLN blog market.
Easter egg 3 was in the MLN blog link at the bottom of this blog.
Easter egg 4 was found under a link saying ">>Next Page" on the market. When the link was clicked, it shows a box with the egg in it.
And last but not least, the golden egg. Only 4 people entered their name into the form. When you typed 'EASTER' in the search box, it then redirects you to the golden Easter egg page here at the blog. Anyway, that's all about those Easter eggs. Now I hope for you that you have a eggs-cellent and powerful Easter!

No Fooling Around

LEGO Universe Online

In order to best know who is only the universe and who is not, we added a little form on the right side of the site. If you are going online, just type in your username, click 'online', then click enter. Your username will appear on a list so everybody can see it before they start playing. Of course, this only works if you go back to our site and fill out the form saying you are offline afterwards. Have fun!

MLN Blog Points

So, there is a new and improved Blog Point system. You can all see it on the right of the screen. And the only real difference is that there will not always be a question to answer. No question? Well, we were having trouble updating it every single day, as you all probably noticed. There will be an optional question added when we really need data, but the important thing is that you all know this: You can enter every 8 hours for five free clicks! Those clicks are redeemable, as always, by commenting here asking for them on a specific (non-item-requiring) module, or at some trade posts on our MLN Market for items. If you are not on the list, simply go here (there is also a link on the sidebar) and enter your username into the form. Then, you will be added as soon as possible. Also, Freerice clicks can be used to redeem items from the MLN Market as well now. Just specify that those are where you want to use them from.

Happy New Year

It is now 2010 in Greenwich. I just wanted to say thank you all for making 2009 a successful year for the MLN Blog. May next year bring even more success and of course, more fun. 2010 is slated to be a big year for LEGO.com, with new ranks, new games, and most importantly, their first ever Massively multiplayer online game. LEGOKidsInnerCircle Server Back Up.

The LEGO Kids Inner Circle Website is again Online, it's was for the last week in construction mode. Changes to the site itself are not make, but a huge bug is fixed. The huge bug was only for the people that get a white screen when they try to go to the website. Those people could saw their name into the link and could easily changed it to any other name that is a user on LKIC like the 'LEGOUniverseMaster'. And could saw their emailadress, comment with their name and saw what you entered at the surveys. This bug is as said before fixed. Everything is again safe. For the people that have a white screen: It's now official, you could not change the name to any other name anymore.

BTW, to comment in our new template, just put the box next to the title on the right or if you are already by the comments just put the 'Post A Comment' Link.
