LEGO OCTOPUS UPDATE!

10 comments | Sep 16, 2011
Remember the secretive and mysterious LEGO Octopus project we first heard about almost a year ago? Just as you could expect, Octopus was only a codename, and the actual project is called REBRICK, as you can see on the now updated website. You can´t do more than you could on the old website as it is still in closed beta, but this update and change of name and looks should clearly indicate that the project is alive, and that we may hear more about it very soon.

HF.LEGO.com updates!

0 comments | Jun 16, 2011
The HF website HF.LEGO.com has been updated with the new sets! At least as far as the Products section is concerned, where you can watch gorgeous character animations and read the set descriptions. I am sure we can expect the entire site to be updated with HF 3.0 in early July at the latest. Until then, you can try the new and late Ordeal of Fire game. You can play with the Heroes you have created with Hero Recon Team or create a new Hero with the HRT interface. This is coming pretty late, especially considering that summer sets are already becoming available, but still better late than never. Check it out and stay tuned for the entire site update!

LEGO Universe Nexus Tower updates

1 comments | May 19, 2011
Many new details about the upcoming Nexus Tower patch have been released in the past few days. We have an introduction to the new, long-awaited vault system which will enable you to store items outside your backpack.

Next there are details, stats and pictures of the awesome new Valiant Weapons. Now if anybody would care to explain to me why the Venture Buccaneer weapon, being the strongest in the entire game, is much more powerful than the Venture Daredevil one, I shall be pleased. :P It seems the third faction specialities won´t be part of this update (otherwise there would be Valiant Weapons for those as well), but this update still looks like the one to look the most forward to to date.

LEGO Universe May Contest Calendar

1 comments | Apr 27, 2011
The LEGO Universe May Contest Calendar has been released! It´s all about factions (well, not quite, but so they say), and you get the chance to win LEGO City, LEGO HERO FACTORY, LEGO NINJAGO and even classic brick buckets in racing competitions, screenshot contests and instances. You may want not to miss those contests which interest you, or best all of them. :P

Ninjago Merchandise

6 comments | Apr 19, 2011

Remember this post? Were you upset that this awesome Ninjago truck wasn't coming to your town, state or country? I was. Until I found out that my local toy store was holding their very own Ninjago Spinjitzu championships! Me and my brother (Jellybean16) went down and battled it out with a bunch of other kids, and JB won the championship! They were giving away a bunch of cool LEGO prizes. (I have no idea if any of this will be available in stores)

Just for playing every kid got:

A Ninjago headband

Two special edition cards (One Krazi holographic card and one Off Balance gold card)

Two posters (One is double sided)

The winner of the competition (JB) got:

Zane keyring

Medal (Picture of a ninja mask on one side and the Ninjago logo on the back)

Wallet

Backpack

(Plus an extra 5 of everything else)

HERO FACTORY character videos and HERO RECON TEAM video

0 comments | Apr 14, 2011
On HF.LEGO.com eight new character videos starring each 2.0 Hero, Fire Lord and his minions have been released. They all feature several scenes from the recently aired Ordeal of Fire episode of the HF TV series. Interestingly enough, though, Furno´s video shows a small clip of what could be from an upcoming episode or a promo video, possibly for the summer story Savage Planet.

There is also the video for the not yet released fourth challenge of the HeroPad, starring good old Prof. Nathaniel Zib and, for the first time, Merrick Fortis in action, advertising the new HERO Recon Team website on HERORecon.LEGO.com. Check it out!

New Ordeal of Fire trailer

0 comments | Feb 10, 2011
On the HF.LEGO.com front page a new trailer for the upcoming Ordeal of Fire TV series has appeared! It has actual narration and is very similar to one that appeared in French a few weeks ago, only that this has much better quality and more scenes. Watch these impressive snippets of the upcoming mov. Threshold Animation Studios is certainly improving. I am sure there will be new details on the series very soon! Check it out!

HNN Special Report

1 comments | Feb 5, 2011
HF.LEGO.com has revealed a Hero News Network Special Report, which is in fact a look behind the scenes of the HF designing room. Three LEGO designers explain the basics of the Third System and show off all the awesome things you can do with it. You must not miss this if you want to start building with the Third System straight away, and look forward to the Hero Recon Team website coming in Spring- powered by DesignByME.

LEGO Star Wars website upgrade

1 comments | Jan 20, 2011
The LEGO Star Wars website, StarWars.LEGO.com, has been fully upgraded with an entirely new look to incorporate javascript features all other newer LEGO websites already have for the products and movies sections. There is also a new game, Ace Assault, but all games prior to the Quest for R2-D2 game have been removed. Nonetheless, it is still something you should definitely check out, as it is (at least in my opinion) far superiour to the old LEGO Star Wars website. Thanks to an anonymous reader for the report. :)

HERO FACTORY: Creep Crushers reveals summer sets!

4 comments | Jan 9, 2011
EDIT: LEGO has asked me to take down the images, sorry. :(

That is right, I have taken a look at the files of the recently released HERO FACTORY Creep Crusher games and found truly amazing things. It seems that the Creep Crusher games were produced for winter and summer sets at the same time, so it should be technically possible to play the games for HF 3.0. This is the first glimpse at legal images of summer sets for 2011, and you should check it out! I have uploaded the images of greatest interest to
my Brickshelf gallery for you to see. According to the language file and to several images of the environment, the story´s setting will be a jungle.

To clarify and to make sure you do know these are not illegal, ALL images that I have uploaded are either directly hosted and freely accessible on LEGO.com, extracted from SWF files hosted and freely accessible on LEGO.com or screenshots of sprites contained inside SWF files hosted and freely accessible on LEGO.com. ;) Therefore, none of the content published is by any means and in no way restricted, marked as confidential or classified unless further notification is given by LEGO.

HERO FACTORY games released for all local websites

0 comments | Oct 20, 2010
Finally the HERO FACTORY games Mission: Von Nebula and Hero Creator have went live for all avaible local websites: the Netherlands, France, Germany, Italy, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Poland, Russia, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway and South Korea (sorry if I have missed one, but with the LEGO.com upgrade it is much harder to find out). Many of them have already been around, but they were not released officially yet. You may actually notice the version numbers of higher than those of the English games, so some glitches have probably been fixed (although Bulk´s and Stringer´s armors are still reversed). Check it out!

Yes, you guessed it, I love puns. :P As announced in The Brick 2010, LEGO.com has received a complete facelifting. You can't deny the new style is a huge improvement, although it is only available for the US, UK and Germany at the moment. Great job, LEGO!

Additionally, the LEGO Video Games has received an upgrade on its own. Check it out!

Lego Club Magazine

3 comments | Sep 8, 2010
The LEGO Club Magazine for September-October 2010 has arrived in some parts of the World. It contains several stories including: a continued story for Star Wars, a new LEGO Hero Factoy story (which is as long as the Bionicle used to be, but instead of being an insert, Hero Factory is built right in like other stories), and lastly it has a Space Police story. It also contains an air port quiz and a Harry Potter building challenge. It includes some info about Kingdoms and Atlantis as well. And last but not least, it has an "Exclusive Entering Lego Universe" preview that contains some pictures of what you will be doing in the game and descriptions. That's it for now have fun reading!

7 comments | Sep 6, 2010
NOTE: Please do NOT post or report this anywhere else until I say you may do so! Thanks a lot.

The HERO FACTORY TV series has started airing in Germany September 4th so I recorded it and decided to write a review about it. Because you are so awesome, the MLN Blog is the first website to get it, but images will come later and somewhere else since I don't want the post to be too cluttered. :) So here we go with the review of the very first episode of the HERO FACTORY TV series. You can read it here.
