Tips for completing the Robot Chronicles game

| Oct 17, 2009
-When you finish a certain mission, you usually get clippings and/or the relevant items to the theme of the mission. Sometimes, though, you may accidentally enter another mission by driving into a yellow area, or a message with a small mission will come up. Either way, you won't be able to claim the MLN reward.
There is a way to bypass this most of the time. Press the pause button (bottom-right corner) just after you finish a mission, and usually the messages won't pop up (for example, crashes).

-When you're trying to finish the towing mission, whenever you need to fix a fire truck, you might as well not bother.
EDIT: this may not happen for everyone, but fires usually happen very frequently, making lots of messages pop up. Not recommended if you're trying to get the items.

-Pressing the cross in the bottom-right corner during cutscenes skips them, which is useful when you repeat something again.

I have never been able to get a hard hat or clippings from the Fire Truck, so I don't know if you can. If you can't get a Hard Hat from it, just click the cross, and start over. It's faster than doing the mission sometimes, and it's definately faster than letting the time run out.

(sorry, user is not working right now. It won't let me sign in...)

i actually find it's easier to go to one of those areas with the lego logo on it, change vehicles to a flying vehicle, and fly back to the area where you started it. going into one of those areas automatically cancels the current mission.

i found something interesting.
on dr inferno's MLN page, the word "lair" is in the text module twice. in both cases, they are spelled as "liar" instead.
by the way, what are clippings used for? so far, i've only seen them used for either the badge or stickers...

I think I fixed my account problems... I hope...

The clippings, for now, are only used for those exact purposes. Badges and Stickers... And purchasing the 2 things on the Mayor's page...

But can anyone tell me why there is a second trophy module on Dr. Inferno's page? I mean, isn't it easier to get it from the Mayor?

Did anyone notice this yet? http://mln.lego.com/en-US/Help/ModuleGuide.aspx?PageNo=14
And this? http://mln.lego.com/en-US/Help/blueprint.aspx?PageNo=6

I didn't think of pausing it.
I use the escape key instead of clicking the x to skip the movie.
Clippings are also shown in the trophy module, to show how well you did.
I think that it is an error, Dr Inferno says you can buy a simulator on his page for his robot things. But the simulator is not for sale, instead a trophy module.

Wow, the magma drone plant is way different. It says it takes up 2 spots in the page builder and it does there. But in the public view it looks like it only takes up 1. Also the harvest button looks way different, and when you harvest it, it doesn't show how many you got.

The fire messages only appear if a building is on fire and if there are no fires you can get the reward but you shouldn't bother doing the police van or the ambulance. And the magma drone plant says "vote" instead of showing the usual thing to click on.

to b-man. Normally you have to buy the simulation blueprint at Dr inferno's page but actually it changed short after the launch of it...

ilc, i actually think the opposite. for me, fires pop up way too often, and the others are better. you do have to go further with them, though. the other thing is fires usually pop up instantly.

another thing which i'm not totally sure is true, but i'm fairly certain, is when you're claiming the MLN reward, if you see clippings, you'll get clippings, but if you see a white space, you'll either get the relevant item, or both that and clippings.

If you could not claim the MLN rewards for the stated reasons in one mission, you can get them by replaying the mission, don´t you? :)

To Sim: What? I was just showing people about the module/blueprint. But that is nice to know.

Sim533 said... [REPLY]

Yes. It's true about it... I just say that because you probably were looking to that module that you couldn't buy anywhere

is it possible to befriend the mayor if you have the key to lego city badge but not the hero headline badge?

B-man8397 said... [REPLY]

To anonymous: Nope. Not now at least. I'm afraid it's too late to befriend him if you already built the key.

I noticed that the hard hats, the racing trophies, and the agents dossier are on the robot chronicle trophy module. Could this mean we could get more of those in the future?

Hopefully....

I think we might get hard hets, dossiers, etc from Dr inferno's arcade module.
We got universe themed items from the universe arcade module.

Buge said... [REPLY]

Nope, it sends out different stickers.

Can somebody please tell me where the "fall of the robot" challenge is?! Ive built the headline hero badge and nothing.
Also i cant befriend mayor frictionfit!

Buge said... [REPLY]

It's in the city, kind of top left, but not all the way to the top. It's in this weird little empty lot below the racer place.
