LEGO Universe at Comic-Con! (July 22 through July 25)

Trough the weekend of week 29, LEGO Universe will take place at Comic-Con in San-Diego. LegoUniverseMaster posted this on the news network. In the article he tells us that more features of the game would be released at this event. As well, cool activities would be hold. Fans will be able to test the LEGO Universe Beta Game. Fans will get the chance to take an exclusive poster signed by the founder of Brickwars. (Mike Rayhawke, concept art LU.) Last but not least, people would get a chance to get a beta key to enter the LEGO Universe! But most excitingly, some of the impressive pets submitted to the 'Build a Pet' challenge on legouniverse.com have been selected to be featured in a game demostration. On Sunday, July 25, members of the LEGO Universe team will take to the stage to give a special Comic-Con presentation, and bring them to life in front of a live audience! Stay tuned to see if your pet was chosen and some cool event-related videos!

Six LEGO Group and NetDevil panelists discuss their roles in the development of LEGO Universe, from senior directors to mega fans and builders. The panel includes Ryan Seabury (creative director), Mark Hansen(senior director), Chris Brubaker (media coordinator), Ryan Baier (videographer), and two representatives from the LEGO Universe Partners program. Room 5AB

Out of curiousity, I Googled "BrickWars" (it is actually spelled "BrikWars"), created by Mike Rayhawke. I found a large amount of irony in the fact the Rayhawke is working for LEGO and "BrikWars" is even acknowledged by them: BrikWars is based upon a game called "LEGO Wars", which was prohibited and destroyed by LEGO's legal team in the 90's.

What is ironic is that the BrikWars website has an extensive legal section written by Rayhawke completely disassociating himself and his game from LEGO. Now, he's working on their biggest product for 2010. Just thought I'd point out that interesting bit.
