LEGO Universe Alpha Testing
Posted by Buge | Dec 8, 2009 Labels: Lego Universe
So here's the scoop on the alpha code, my brother got an e-mail at 12/8/2009 6:32 AM EST. It said that because he was in the Kid's Inner Circle, he got invited to be a LEGO Universe tester, currently in alpha testing.
And another e-mail at 6:34 that had an alpha activation key in it.
Okay, so he made an account, had my mom accept the secrecy thing, downloaded LU, and well, lets just say yeah, tested it.
It is called alpha testing because alpha comes before beta and basically means testing limited to employees, but this must be a kind of broad alpha.
Okay, so why did he get one? Because there is this thing called Kid's Inner Circle (KIC) that LEGO has and I heard of it. Apparently you have to be invited to get in, but I found a place where a parent can invite thier kids and so my mom invited my brother, he had to do some long surveys, and IT WAS ONLY FOR KIDS 13 OR YOUNGER, so I didn't do it, only my brother.
I went and looked now, and now you don't have to do the complicated stuff or be 13 or under, so I joined, but no key... I think you had to be in it at the time. I joined anyway, and you might want to also, just in case, and if you have any younger siblings, maybe have them join just in case it looks at the age you entered when you signed up for a LEGO ID. Go here: https://club.lego.com/eng/login/KidsPanel/
After you are in, click update profile and update e-mail, because I think that might be necessary. But like I said earlier, this will probably might not give you a key, but they just might consider re-giving them.
Oh yeah, the key would not work on my account because it is linked to the e-mail used to sign up with.

BREAKING NEWS
When you try to join the KIC. You must take a poll or something like that. They will decide on the answers you took if you could test the alpha game or if you couldn't test the alpha game...
The LEGO Toy Story site is up.
2 things.
1 I havnt recieved the activation key for a week and 2 clonehelmet is a quest for r2 d2 code
Would you mind if I report that to BZPower, SkeletonMan? :)
You may report this with the source, our blog...
At Sim: Done! :)
Of course you can, Gata! I love BZP, great site for resources. Not a member, though.
Hey guys how long was it for you to get the activation e-mail?
aadams2121,
Which activation are you talking about? To get the LEGO Universe alpha activation key you had to have been signed up before they sent them. They might re-send them at some time though.
And to everyone else, I edited the post, because apparently there is some type of secrecy in KIC, even though they never say so. There is no secrecy thing you have to sign, no rules to read, or no button that says I accept the rules or anything. Just a little survey.
did not get an email?
could you tell a activation code.
We can't give that out... Sorry!!!
