SNOT Challenge

| Jul 2, 2009
A new LU newsletter appeared in all our inboxes today. This one had an announcment for a new challenge! The Build A Snot Bot Challenge. No, it's not what you're thinking. SNOT stands for "Studs Not (only) On Top", in which they use bricks that do not only have a stud on the top.

Also, I would like to point out to everyone that the Build a LEGO Clubhouse Challenge almost has enough creations to unlock the mysterious prize. It only needs 75 more, so if you haven't entered, enter now. If you have, be sure to check and see if it is unlocked often, or just wait for us to tell you here (it could be something pointless, but the large number of required entries possibly suggests otherwise...)

SNOT is a term that has been used for many years by the AFOL (Adult Fan Of LEGO) community, so it's kind of neat to see it "officially" used by LEGO. :)

Oh, cool. I thought it was something they made up themselves. And long time no see, Classicsmiley!

Yeah I was a little surprised when I saw LU talking about SNOT and even using it.

Yes, I still lurk here, but between making it to Rank 10, and not having many new things in MLN to keep me interested, I've scaled way back on the amount of time I spend on MLN.

Oh, from what I can tell, the first use of SNOT as it applies to LEGO was in a post on Lugnet on December 10, 1998!
