I believe you are referring to this. It is very cool.
I was on the Hasbro website and found that they have a very interesting new series of games which are based around pieces that are extremely similar to LEGO and the new LEGO board games. Here is the link:

I can't find anything on any web page that links Hasbro to LEGO so I would assume that there is no link. I thought I would share the link anyway.
That is LEGO, it does look very similar indeed. :O
The games do look very similar, and the idea was probably concieved to compete with LEGO, but they are based off of pre-existing, well known games, and I don't think that it's a good idea to outright assume that it is a copy (I'm not saying it isn't).
Although there may be question about the concept of these games, I don't think that there is any excuse for the pieces that they use, which do indeed look pretty much exactly like LEGO pieces. 'Tis a shame that LEGO's patent on their brick expired. It has been said that that patent has proved to be one of the most valuable ever granted.
